Short Biography:
Ts Dr Lee Kean Chuan is a veteran higher education lecturer with more than 18 years of teaching experience. He graduated from the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and subsequently pursued his Master of Science in Solid-state Physics at University of Science Malaysia (USM) in 2005. His objectives in his final year projects for both programs had been completed and an award of Distinction bestowed. He continued his study in Japan in 2009 and completed his PhD at Department of Physical Electronics, Tokyo Institute of Technology under Monbukagakusho scholarship (recommended by Embassy of Japan in Malaysia) in March 2013. He is major in Physical Electronics specialized in organic transistors and incorporating nanoparticles into the devices by using Langmuir technique. He had published many research papers in well-prestige Q1 and Q2 international scientific journals with more than 700 citations. He is extremely passionate about research, enthusiast in learning new things, culture, and is a fast learner, a self-starter, resourceful, takes initiative, and aspires to become even more successful and innovative in his career and scientific research to contribute to science and technology. He is also multilingual in many languages including English (TOEIC 980/990), Malay, Mandarin and Japanese and obtained Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 (Advanced Level) qualification. Currently he is working as a Senior Lecturer and Post Graduate Program Leader in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS under Fundamental and Applied Sciences Department teaching courses in Applied Physics programs which includes Renewable Energy,Renewable Energy Conversion, Nanoelectronics, Measurement and Instrumentation and Semiconductor Devices and Technologies. He also supervises Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Industrial Internship students and has been appointed recently as Assessor Panel by Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) to assess technical programs in Oil and Gas, Electrical and Electronics, and Materials Technology in Institutes of Higher Education.
