Short Biography:
Ir Dr Huzein Fahmi bin Hawari is Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. His research field are on chemical gas sensor fabrication and multi-sensor system. He is one of the few researcher internationally working on novelty chemical gas sensors research based on Molecular Imprinted Polymer. He has published 4 high impact journal papers, 8 conference papers to date and has also won 5 gold award in an International Innovation Exhibition. As for his working experience, he has many years working experience in Intel Malaysia especially in Computer Architecture, Motherboard Technology and Solid State Devices. His range of expertise ranging from Technical Training, Product Engineering, Outsource Management to System Validation. Huzein was selected among the pioneer batch of Intel Malaysia NAND Solution Group (NSG). As a Staff System Validation Engineer, he was responsible for the Startup of Solid State Devices (SSD) System Validation(SV) within Intel Malaysia. Part of his responsibility was to establish the Intel Malaysia SV lab and to ensure the first SSD product launch for Intel Malaysia NSG is successful. Prior to that, Huzein was the Staff Product Engineer attached to Board Design Center Malaysia (BDCM) where he led a team to maintain and improve Intel design motherboard (including laptop) to major customers such as Dell, Gateway, NEC, Apple and etc. This include managing major customer crisis and outsourced factories excursion. In April 1999, Huzein joined Intel as Technical Training Engineer where he was responsible for defining training need analysis to support any new technology/platform. This include defining competency gaps, developing training curriculum and technical course for new Intel motherboard technology.
