Short Biography:

Azrina is a senior lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. Prior to her academic appointment, she worked as a process engineer in semiconductor industry handling the final visual inspection process of IC packaging. Her recent research interests focus on energy-efficient techniques for wireless sensor networks (WSNs), wireless body area networks (WBANs) for biomedical applications and medical imaging, wireless communications, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence techniques used in various applications such as fatigue assessment, air quality monitoring, stroke detection and food intake monitoring.

Azrina is a senior member of IEEE, a member of Board of Engineers Malaysia and a Professional Technologist registered under Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). Azrina is actively involved in IEEE and currently holds the position of the Vice-Chair of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), Malaysia. She was previously the Past Vice-Chair and Secretary of IEEE WIE, and held the Treasurer position in IEEE RAS of Malaysia Section.
