Short Biography:

Dr. Khairul Shafee B Kalid is a Senior Lecturer in Computing at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Science, Management and Computing (FSMC), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He holds a PhD in Information Technology from UTP, a Master's in Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology, and a Bachelor's in Business Administration (Computer Information Systems) from Western Michigan University. With over 20 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Khairul specializes in Information Systems, with a particular focus on technology adoption and acceptance, knowledge management, enterprise architecture, and enterprise resource planning.

His scholarly contributions include over 50 publications, with citations across Scopus, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate, reflecting his impact in the field. His current research interests focus on emerging technologies, immersive technology, and the metaverse, exploring how these innovations can transform digital experiences, learning environments, and organizational practices. Dr. Khairul is also deeply committed to learner-centered education. His teaching philosophy promotes a relaxed, interactive classroom environment where students are encouraged to engage, reflect, and grow-not just academically, but also in character and purpose 3. He believes that education extends beyond the classroom, aiming to instill values such as integrity, honesty, and service in his students.
