Dr Saiful Azrin bin Mohd Zulkifli is a passionate advocate for bridging the gap between academia and industry, Dr. Saiful boasts over a decade of diverse engineering experience spanning both worlds. His career began in the dynamic realm of industry, encompassing 6+ years across building automation, electronic and semiconductor manufacturing, and power system consulting. This early exposure instilled in him a deep understanding of practical applications and real-world challenges. Driven by a thirst for knowledge creation, Dr. Saiful then transitioned to R&D within an academic setting for 4+ years. This period honed his research skills and ignited a fire within him to bring theoretical exploration and practical implementation closer together. Dr. Saiful joined the EEE department, where he has thrived for the past 13+ years. Here, he has excelled not only in lecturing and supervising students, but also in conducting impactful research. However, his passion extends beyond individual disciplines. He is deeply motivated by the potential for synergy between academia and industry, particularly in smaller economies like Malaysia where ambitious engineers often face limited opportunities.
