Dr. Okorie Agwu holds BEng, MSc, and PhD degrees in Petroleum Engineering. He has 15 years experience of lecturing in universities in both Nigeria and Malaysia. His core specialization lies in drilling and well technology, with a particular focus on the application of machine learning algorithms for developing predictive models that improve well performance, drilling optimization, and fluid behaviour prediction. Dr. Agwu has a strong research interest in carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen production technologies, and drilling fluid engineering. He has supervised numerous undergraduate, master's, and PhD students, contributing significantly to capacity building in the energy sector. He has published over 40 technical papers in reputable Q1 and Q2 journals and presented his research at various international Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) conferences and workshops.Dr Agwu is an active peer reviewer for several high-impact journals. He has received multiple research grant awards both in Nigeria and Malaysia, reflecting the quality and relevance of his work.
