Short Biography:
Dr. Ambagaha Hewage Dona Kalpani Rasangika is a Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. Originally from Sri Lanka, she holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UTP, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), heat transfer, and energy efficiency. Before joining UTP, she gained valuable experience in both academia and industry in Sri Lanka, having served at the University of Peradeniya and worked with MAS Intimates. Her research is currently focused on low-carbon cooling solutions, particularly for AI data centers. In late 2024, she was part of a team that secured a major SRF-RFP Malaysia-China grant from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) for her work on multi-energy storage systems.
